Why LoopCheck?
Controller problems often don't surface in simulations or in the lab, but only when the firmware interacts with the actual hardware. This is caused by factors that are difficult to reproduce, such as delays, noise, or sensor errors, which classical simulations cannot capture.
To prevent such errors from becoming critical in the field, LoopCheck was developed. LoopCheck allows developers to introduce controlled and reproducible hardware errors directly into the controller's input interface, long before the actual power hardware or a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system is connected. This enables the early detection of potential control instabilities, which can then be tested under standardized, reproducible conditions.
The test environment can be set up in less than ten minutes, entirely without complex laboratory infrastructure. Iteration cycles are significantly accelerated and the commissioning risk considerably reduced. Complex test procedures can be prepared efficiently and executed safely.
